Challenge: In 2022 Relevance International was brought on to support ULI New York hosting the organization’s seventh annual Awards for Excellence in Development. As the non-profit’s largest and highest revenue-generating annual event, the gala averages 600 attendees and 50 sponsors a year, providing critical funding to the organization.
Solution: Relevance refreshed the brand aesthetic on their social media channels, had in-depth training sessions with their entire team of agents and developed a go-to-market strategy to scale and engage their audience to grow their following. Relevance was tasked with rebranding and creating event print and digital collateral, strategizing web content and layout, SEO optimization and managing attendees and sponsors, in addition to the on-site coordination of high-profile attendees and all vendor management and logistics.
Results:
- The event welcomed ~750 attendees and secured 80 sponsors, exceeding the target guest count by 22% and producing 30 more sponsors than previously recorded.
- Secured 10 industry journalists to attend and cover the event, its winners and the year’s honoree Ronne Hackett.
- Ranked the gala’s website as #1 in Google search results, resulting in greater traction for the event.
